Clara Conrado is a multidisciplinary artist and live visual performer currently based in so-called Vancouver, working across physical and virtual media. Moving between installation, sculpture, sound, design, and computational media, she treats signal and image as material, processed and disembodied through heat, feedback, and code. In performance, she builds custom visual synthesizers and interactive worlds (C++/GLSL/Metal), dislodging meanings and staging encounters with inexistence, identification, virtuality, and time—revealing desire through noise. Rooted in lived experience across transness, Blackness, migration, disability, and trauma, her practice works within the framework of technology as an “Other,” using live collaboration to propose new ways of relating to machines, to art, and to each other in shared spaces.
