Accessibility: The venue has accessible parking and will have a ramp as well as stairs with a handrail up to the dance floor. There are sand and grass areas between the parking and the dance stage. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make these grounds more accessible to you!
Rave the Roof is an accessible, free, family-friendly daytime dance party featuring Acceleration Radio DJs – an audio/visual platform and collective from Vancouver.
This event will have a DJ stage, a wooden-floored area for dancing (with options for lounging and sitting as well), food with tables to eat at, and a licensed bar. Entrance is free but we welcome donations for Raise the Roof, our local affordable housing fundraising group. Drink sale profits will also go to Raise the Roof. Expect sunny, vibey tunes traversing many genres to get you moving.

The stage and dance area will be behind 1290 Sturdies Bay Road in the wooden tennis court. There’s plenty of parking out front of the school – please leave spaces in front of the library free for library users.
We’re grateful to collaborate and produce on the shared, stolen, unceded, ancestral and traditional territories of Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwlitsum and other Hul’qumi’num speaking peoples, as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation, on what is now known as Galiano Island, British Columbia. We recognize the complex impacts that hosting settlers and non-settlers has on the Indigenous land and peoples of this area, and we aim to be responsible and accountable for these impacts and our footprint—whether cultural, environmental or social.
