[An-ya] ÆNNIÆ's range is diverse and ever-mutating, drawing inspiration from various music spaces and places they've called home, from the prairies to the UK to the Pacific coast. Guided by a genre-fluid sense of mood and energy, their sets blend groovy rhythms, colourful, heady atmospheres, and trippy textures, modulating between long-form percussive techno, breaks, drum-forward tracks, energetic club, and heartfelt house and trance.
As a co-founder of Resonance Collective on Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ Territories, ÆNNIÆ is dedicated to fostering connection and catharsis through music. They've shared lineups with Canadian-based talents like SIM, softcoresoft, efemme, Hrdvsion, Shanx, IHA, Mood Change, Njoki Njoki, Khotin, and Sergio SP, as well as international artists Hodge and softchaos. Since 2021, Resonance Collective have been throwing events focused on genre-diversity and emerging and local artists, including their monthly Depot residency, and collaborations with crews such as Gateo (Van), Eventide (Vic) and Winter Arts Festival (Van).
