Ron Luther is a Vancouver based producer, synthesist and industrial designer who works relentlessly to create new sound through the exploration of novel methods and instrumentation. He got his start in electronic music as one half of Datataste, alongside Adrian Long AKA Haptic Feedback. Together, they became known for their exploratory improvised live sets which ranged from textural spaces through to pulsating techno.
His first solo offering, Afterthought EP, was recently released on the local label PPRZ, with more releases in the works.
He is currently working in the intersection between music and design to develop new instruments and tools for performance and production.
